Welcome

My name is Attorney Wm. Bradley Kellogg (Brad).

I am an experienced matrimonial and family lawyer, and

practice law in Fairfield,Connecticut.

Experience

For 28 years I have represented clients in divorce
proceedings and other family matters. I fully and fairly

represent the interests of my clients who are divorcing,

or seeking to enforce or modify an existing divorce

judgment. To obtain a fair and acceptable outcome

requires goals and a plan to achieve those goals. At the

outset I set those goals with my clients and develop a plan to achieve them. I remain firm and resolute in pursuit of a fair outcome. Because there are goals and a strategy my advocacy for my clients is purposeful and focused.

I am a skilled negotiator and an experienced and effective trial lawyer. I have successfully argued and defended appeals before both the Connecticut Supreme Court and Appellate Court. Recognizing the emotional and economic toll taken by divorce, I endeavor to negotiate a fair settlement for my clients. Unfortunately, a negotiated settlement cannot always be realized, in which case I aggressively argue and present my client's case in court.

When required I work with financial planners, accountants, appraisers and other professionals to insure that all assets are known and correctly valued.

Divorce Mediation

I am also an experienced divorce mediator. A divorce mediator is a neutral professional who serves as a facilitator for couples seeking the advantages of the alternative approach of mediation, as distinguished from litigation, to dissolve their marriage. As a mediator, I help couples negotiate between themselves a mutually agreeable and fair resolution of all the issues connected with their breakup. Since there is no direct lawyer involvement, mediation is often a less costly approach.

Children

When children are concerned, divorcing is more than dissolving a marriage, dividing property, determining support payments and deciding custody. It is also about preserving and ensuring the parent child relationship. Measures need to be taken to prevent the marriage break-up from damaging the parent child relationship. Although the parents are no longer together, they remain part of their childrens' family. It is important for the parents and their children to remain involved with one another. Preservation of the parent child relationship cannot be overlooked and needs to be emphasized in the divorce process.

For more information about divorce and mediation, please visit the practice areas within this website. My clients are important to me. I appreciate their trust. Unlike the situation in larger firms, my clients receive my personal attention. I consult them and keep them informed. I am prepared and diligent, and provide the highest quality legal work.

You are welcome to contact me if you need legal help. In an initial consultation I will listen to your problem and provide an honest evaluation of your case. Any fee for an initial consultation will be credited back to you if you retain me as your lawyer.
